Welcome to Malimar Foundation

Malimar Foundation is asking for your help to reduce child prostitution and child sex trafficking. Our foundation will build schools to educate girls and boys of Laos. The schools will provide shelter for homeless children. We will provide well water for the schools and the village, vegetable gardens, and will have working electricity for the schools. We will work with the Lao government and police to rescue children from age five to seventeen. Each four classroom school will save 160 or more children a year. We need to build ten schools in Laos; this will save more than 1,600 children.

This is how you can help: We need donations to build these schools. We are a 501c3 Charity and will provide a Letter of Donation that offers $250.00 for tax deduction. A Brisbane-based charity says it has smashed a child-trafficking ring that has sent 200 teenage girls from Laos into sex slavery in Thailand.

Here is a video that will let you see, with your own eyes, the type of atrocity that you can help end with your donation: child sex trafficking in Cambodia:

Human trafficking shows no sign of abating. The U.S. State Department estimates that between 600,000 and 800,000 people are trafficked across international boundaries each year. Millions more are enslaved within national borders, often in brothels or forced labor camps. Corruption, poverty, and lawlessness all contribute to the problem in East Asia. Laos is primarily a source country for women and girls trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation and labor exploitation as domestics or factory workers in Thailand. Some Lao men, women, and children migrate to neighboring countries in search of better economic opportunities but are subjected to conditions of forced or bonded labor or forced prostitution after arrival. Some Lao men who migrate willingly to Thailand are subjected to conditions of involuntary servitude in the Thai fishing and construction industry. To a lesser extent Laos is a country of transit for Vietnamese, Chinese and Burmese women destined for Thailand. Laos’ potential as a transit country is on the rise with the construction of new highways linking China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia through Laos. Internal trafficking is also a problem that affects young women and girls who are trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation in urban areas. Source: State.gov “A recent report by DePaul University's International Human Rights Law Institute finds that 80 percent of those sold into sexual slavery are under the age of 24, with some as young as 6. An estimated 30,000 die annually from abuse, torture, neglect and diseases. Statistical estimates indicate that 300,000 women have been sold into the sex trade in Western Europe in the last 10 years, and since the 1990’s, 80,000 women and children from Myanmar (formerly Burma), Cambodia, Laos and China have been sold into Thailand's sex industry.” Sadly, most of the time, the parents are the ones selling their daughters and sons for income.

We will be on-site to buy material and pay laborer to build and setup schools.

Here are our goals:
Project Knowledge Unfolds: Build Elementary schools grade K-5.
Project Iron Curtain: Add more class room to existing schools.
Project Waterfall: Install water pump that will provide water for school and village to use.
Project Flashlight: Install electricity, the school is now using flashlights when the day is cloudy. Electricity will help the school with educational videos and television.
